Old people, extremely frustrated, protect the health and safety, special contributionAbstract
Old people are symbols of the past for the whole society, repositories of experiences and deserve everyone's respect. If proper respect is given in the society and their experiences are taken advantage of, then they can also make a special contribution in our progress. But today's old age society is extremely frustrated and is generally more sad because of the fact that despite having a wide experience of life, the new generation neither gives the desired respect to the old generation nor is ready to accept their opinion. Due to the change in the social system, the elderly are also facing a lot of difficulties in establishing coordination with their families. They are feeling lonely, helpless, neglected and despised. Every year, October 1 is celebrated as International Old Age Day to spread awareness and prevent exploitation of the elderly to give them the right place in the society. Many laws and provisions have been made to protect the health and safety of the elderly, yet the elderly are expected. The old age homes that are flourishing like mushrooms are proof of this, therefore, in this era of insensitivity, there is a need to understand and support the feelings of the elderly so that they can live the rest of their life with respect and get their rights.
